As a Personal CFO, my goal in working with every client is simple – help them prioritize and achieve their various personal and financial goals.  I partner directly with clients to help them quantify and evaluate the technical and emotional aspects of every financial decision given their individual circumstances.  I strive to provide a concierge-level service when advising clients and coordinating all facets of their financial lives. 

Prior to joining Single Point, I was a Wealth Strategist at Bainco International Investors, working primarily with entrepreneurs, small business owners, and beneficiaries of generational wealth to integrate tax and estate planning strategies into their overall investment plan.  Before Bainco, I was a counselor at The Colony Group where I provided holistic financial planning services to executives at both private and public companies, helping them navigate their unique compensation structures, equity incentive plans, and upcoming liquidity events. 

My passion for financial planning began in college while completing my undergraduate coursework at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I developed an interest in the analytical and problem-solving components of planning. I consider myself a “lifelong learner” and am always eager to pursue educational opportunities that will help me better serve the clients with whom I work. 

As someone who is passionate about financial literacy and access to advice, I volunteer my time to help low-income Massachusetts residents through the Midas Collaborative as well as patients at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I was recognized as the 2017 Volunteer of the Year by the MA Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).  In addition to my pro bono work, I am an active member of the FPA and am on the NexGen and Finance Committees for our chapter. 

I live in Brookline with my fiancé, Olivia, and am an avid Wisconsin Badger and New England sports fan.

My clients utilize me as a partner to help them feel comfortable with the decisions they make in life. An ideal client for me is someone who is looking for advice beyond the allocation and management of their liquid investment portfolio. As a finance major at Bentley College I began to build skills that allow me to help my clients understand the financial impact of their decisions. For 11 years at Baystate Financial, starting in 2001, I developed an understanding of the practice of financial planning.

In 2012, I was driven to found Single Point to build a firm that was focused on the agenda of my clients. The name of our company was born from the idea of being a "single point of contact" for our clients. I recognize that I do not have all of the answers, therefore, we have built our business around a great network of experts and resources for our clients. We place an important focus on researching, vetting, and collaborating with various professionals and services for our clients. When I don't have the answer, I pride myself on knowing the right questions to ask, and who to ask them of. 

As an active member of Financial Planning Associations of MA, I am  involved with their pro-bono programs with Dana Farber Cancer Institute and The Midas Collaborative.  My clients are spread across the country, but I live in Boston with my wife Alicia and our three children.

My path to Chief Investment Officer at Single Point most recently took me through BNY Mellon Wealth Management, where I had been since 2005.  My role as Senior Portfolio Manager at BNY allowed me to work very closely with clients in constructing portfolios; while understanding their goals and always mindful of how the markets impact them both financially and behaviorally. Sitting on BNY’s Solution Strategy Committee and the Boston office’s Investment Implementation Committee has helped shape my investment decision-making.  Ultimately, the desire to fully own and shape the firm's investment philosophy brought me to step into a Senior Partner role as Single Point's CIO. 

 After receiving my bachelor’s degree at The Wharton School and my MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management I made a few stops prior to my 12 years at BNY.  These experiences included the M&A group at GE Capital; a tech-focused merchant bank, Springwell Capital Partners; and Merrill Lynch’s Private Client Group.

 I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to share my expertise in giving back beyond my direct dealing with clients.  Currently, I chair the investment committee for the Home for Little Wanderers.  I am an active board member and former President of the Boston Chapter of the The Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA).  I have been a charter member of the Latino Legacy Fund of The Boston Foundation.  LLF is a special interest fund targeting the Latino Community of Boston.
Most recently, I have had the honor of being appointed by Governor Charlie Baker to the board of Mass Ventures, the state of Massachusetts’ venture capital arm.
My wife Nancy and I, along with our two daughters, live in Wellesley, MA and enjoy relaxing on Cape Cod in the summer.

Susan Snyder Client Services Manager


Susan is the engine that makes Single Point run.  When our clients need something, Susan makes sure it gets done for them.   Being a small firm we all chip in on many areas and Susan’s prior career as a manager at the Mass Biotech Council has certainly trained her to do just that.  Susan designed her own major at University of Michigan with a focus on communications, statistics and marketing which helped prepare her in building a better client experience.

She is integral in researching and implementing the systems we utilize to help advise our clients.  Susan leads our goal to constantly strive to find a better way to do things and give back to the community.  Susan lives in Brookline with her husband, Rich, and their daughter.
